ARTS ADVISORY COMMITTEE MINUTES
March 14, 2005
1. ROLL CALL
City Manager Bill Moss called the meeting to order at 8:00 AM by welcoming the members.
Committee members present: Mr. Joel Gewirtz, Ms. Irene Horowitz, Ms. Coral Aiken-Miller, Ms. Rose Ann Patterson, Ms. Carol Roberts, Mr. William Tietze, and Ms. Bonnie Woodward.
City staff present: City Manager Bill Moss, City Clerk Laura Litzan and secretary, Lois Gunter.
2. BUSINESS
City Manager Bill Moss distributed the Handbook for Boards and Committees and requested that members review the handbook and provide feedback. He reviewed several topics contained within the handbook, including: the Sunshine Law, ethics, conflicts of interest and voting, attendance, developing a Mission Statement, and establishing committee goals and objectives.
City Clerk Laura Litzan reviewed procedures for the selection of a Chair and Vice-Chair. The selection of Chair and Vice-Chair will be on the agenda for the next meeting.
Committee members briefly summarized their expectations for the committee and suggested goals and objectives for future consideration.
3. PUBLIC COMMENT
Councilwoman Vicki Kelber expressed her appreciation to the Committee for their willingness to serve the community.
4. ADJOURN
The meeting adjourned at 9:50 AM. The next meeting is scheduled for April 12, 2005, at 8 AM at City Hall.
