ARTS ADVISORY COMMITTEE MINUTES
February 14, 2006
1. ROLL CALL
The meeting was called to order at 8:00 a.m.
Committee members present: Ms. Irene Horowitz, Ms. Coral Aiken-Miller, Dr. William Tietze, Ms. Rose Ann Patterson, and Ms. Carole Roberts. Mr. Joel Gewirtz was absent.
City staff present: Ms. Laura Litzan, Ms. Carol Glassman, Ms. Lois Gunter.
2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
MOTION by Ms. Rose Patterson to Approve the Agenda with the Addition of ‘Draft #1 Policy Discussion’ as Requested by Ms. Horowitz. Second by Ms. Roberts. Motion carried 5-0.

3. APPROVAL OF January 10, 2006 MINUTES
MOTION by Ms. Irene Horowitz to Approve the January 10, 2006 Minutes Second by Dr. William Tietze. Motion carried 5-0.
4. DISCUSSION AND NOMINATION FOR AAC LIAISON TO BEAUTIFICATION AND PARKS & RECREATION COMMITTEES.
Chairwoman Aiken-Miller discussed her recommendation from the January 10 meeting that Ms. Patterson act as the Arts Advisory Committee Liaison with the Beautification and Parks & Recreation Committees. Ms. Patterson agreed to act as that Liaison and Ms. Roberts will assist her as appropriate.
A) Discussion of the Draft #1 Arts Advisory Committee Policy.
Following discussion it was agreed that Page One of the Draft Policy will be added to the March 14 Agenda for the Committee’s consideration.
5. SUB-COMMITTEE PROJECTS AND OBJECTIVES
The spreadsheet with member responsibility for various action items will be used as shown on the January 10, 2006 report with the status being updated when appropriate.
6. OTHER BUSINESS.

None.
8. ADJOURN
The meeting adjourned at 8:55 a.m. The next Arts Advisory Committee is scheduled to meet at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2006 in the lower level conference room at City Hall.
