Re:             Moored Vessels on Demolition Sites

Following several complaints regarding illegally moored vessels at demolition sites, the City of Marco Island’s Code Enforcement will require all property owners to remove any moored vessels, jet skis, etc. on site prior to the approval of the demolition permit by the City of Marco Island’s Building Department.  Moored vessels may be returned to the docking facility following the completion and issuance of a certificate of occupancy of the residential dwelling.

Further the City of Marco will continue to require an affidavit from the property owner that the docking facility will not be used to moor or store marine vessels until the principal structure has been constructed and completed with a certificate of occupancy issued by the Marco Island Building Department.

If you have any other concerns, please feel free to contact me at 389-5061.
