The first of two final phases of the North Collier Boulevard reconstruction will begin on April 9, 2007 and involves the southbound lanes from the Smokehouse Bay Bridge to Rose Court. The second phase involves the northbound lanes from the Smokehouse Bay Bridge to Rose Ct. This northbound phase will begin upon completion of the southbound work. Both phases, southbound and northbound should be completed by December 23, 2007.
During each construction phase these sections of North Collier Boulevard will be reduced to two-way, single lane traffic (one in each direction) with a speed limit of 20 mph. Access to all businesses, condominiums, and residences within this area will be maintained. Intersections may be temporarily closed with local traffic being re-routed to the adjacent streets.
The map on the reverse side provides suggested routes for those who wish to avoid the construction areas. Drivers should allow extra driving time and use caution when traveling through the construction zones.
