Rony Joel is the director of the Public Works Department and Marco Island Utilities for the City of Marco Island.
Mr. Joel’s engineering experience spans well over thirty years in both transportation and environmental. Before joining the City in July 2004, Mr. Joel served as Vice President-Pittsburgh, PA with Camp Dresser McKee, one of the top five water and wastewater treatment organizations in the world.
Joel is also actively involved with various organizations such as the American Water Works Association, American Society of Civil Engineers, Florida Engineering Society, and other professional organizations. He is a Diplomate with the American Academy of Environmental Engineers, a member of the Marco Island Rotary, a member of last year’s Leadership Marco class, and also holds the high honor of Eagle Scott with the Boy Scouts of America.
He is the author of many publications, and was a frequent speaker at numerous industry conferences and seminars.
Mr. Joel holds an M.B.A. from Baldwin-Wallace College, a Masters in environmental civil engineering Purdue University, and a Bachelors in civil engineering from Cleveland State University.
