MEETING - DECEMBER 3, 1997, 2:00 P.M. AT YMCA
The meeting was called to order at 2:00 P.M. by Chairman Harry Cowin. Council Members present were, Councilman Dave Brandt, Councilman Ed Day, Councilman Kjell Pettersen, Councilman John Soldenwagner, Councilman E. Glenn Tucker, and Vice Chairwoman Ruth Schuler. Also present were Skip Camp, Temporary Interim City Manager; Pat Berry, Interim Assistant City Clerk; and Geoff Fahringer, representing the Collier County Sheriff's Department.
City Manager Camp gave the invocation and lead the salute to the flag.
City Manager Camp stated there was no business to address on Agenda Items 1 through 10 and recommended the Chairman move to ITEM 11 - "CITY COUNCIL".
Camp noted that the Advisory Committee application for William Morris had been lost and will be re-submitted prior to selection. The Council discussed staggered terms for the Advisory Committees. No action was taken on this issue. With the exception of the Marco Island Planning Board, all Advisory Committees will be Ad Hoc committees with their term to extend for ninety days after placement of City Manager and then sunset.
The nomination process for the Advisory Committee appointments began.

Due to most of the applicants being selected for previous committees a MOTION was made by Councilman Day, seconded by Councilman Pettersen, to re-advertise for this committee. Motion carried unanimously. Camp will notify each appointee of their committee assignment.
As there was no further business to discuss, the meeting adjourned at 2:42 P.M.
