MINUTES
City Council Workshop Meeting – August 21, 2000 – 6:35 p.m.
Chairman Cowin called the meeting to order and presided.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA
MOTION by Vice-Chair Schuler to APPROVE THE AGENDA. Second by Councilman Minozzi. Motion carried 6-0. (Ed. Note: Councilman Pettersen arrived just after the vote was taken.)
BUSINESS
(Editorial History: At the meeting on August 7, 2000, City Council directed staff to re-submit the Capital Improvements Program for discussion and prioritization.)
Following a discussion on the planned improvements to Leigh Plummer Park; the installation of bocce ball courts at Mackle Park; deleting the acquisition of vacant lots for green space; cul-de-sac tree installations; and the use of long-term debt to pay for bridge improvements, Council agreed to support the capital projects recommended by city staff, with the following changes:
· Remove the bocce courts from the deletion list;
· Fund bridge improvements using long-term debt.
ADJOURN
There being no “public comment” and no further business to come before City Council, the meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
