Public Comment

Mr. Sal Sciarrino, 922 Montego Court, stated that he believes that the Police Department should be handling code enforcement.

Dr. Fay Biles, 1588 Heights Court, clarified that the study completed by a student at Florida Gulf Coast University regarding police departments was not a scientific study.

Mr. Mel Ollman, 841 Heathwood Drive, expressed his concern that the addition of a Parks & Recreation Coordinator is a duplication of services already provided by the Marco Island YMCA.

Dr. Bob Ayling, 181 Bonita Court, Chairman of the Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee, advised Council that the Committees recommendation for hiring a Parks & Recreation Coordinator is not intended to replace the YMCA.
