It is the purpose of the Marco Island City Council to establish the standards, regulations and procedures for review and approval of all proposed development of property within the City, and to provide a development review process that will be comprehensive, consistent, and efficient in the implementation of the goals, objectives, and policies of the City Comprehensive Plan.
Zoning is responsible for review of site plans and accessory structures to determine compliance with the City of Marco Island's Land Development Code. Zoning also ensures that the proposed uses are consistent with the regulations of the zoning district in which it is proposed.
