City Councilor Rob Popoff was elected to a four-year term on City Council in March of 2006. His term expires in March of 2010.
Councilman Rob Popoff is originally from Michigan and his family has been on the Island since 1972. Over this time his family has been actively interwoven on Marco Island. He fulfilled a dream by moving his young family to Marco Island full-time in 1998. Councilman Popoff is married with two children and he has a long record of involvement and leadership in business, civic and community organizations.
Councilman Popoff is a holds a Bachelors of Arts in Management and Organizational development. He is the President and co-owner of 1st Integrity Investments, LLC on Marco Island.
Councilman Popoff’s business and personal contributions to Marco Island are well documented. He is a past President of the Executive Board for the Marco Island Charter Middle School; on the Marco Island YMCA, Executive Board of Directors; on the Rotary International, Board of Directors; served as Educational Panel Advisor for Leadership Collier; is a past Board member for the United Church of Marco Island, is a Member, Florida Urban Planning Legislative Council; is a member of the Marco Island Police Foundation; and is a member of Marco Community Bank Advisory Board.
His service to his community does not stop there. Councilman Popoff is a Board member National Committee for Exploited and Missing Children; on the American Sleep Apnea Association Board of Directors, Washington D.C. and a Notary of Public in the State of Florida.
