The elevation certificates found on this site represent the hard copies maintained by the Building Services Division. The documents were electronically scanned at the best resolution possible solely for the purposes of public viewing, and may not be suitable for official use. For a hard copy of the original, please contact the Building Services Division at 239-389-5000 or the Floodplain Coordinator at 239-389-3926.

Since 1999, the City of Marco Island, Building Services Division, has been collecting elevation certificates from builders, as a requirement of their building permit, and from owners of substantially damaged or improved structures. It is possible that if your home was built after 1998, and you are unable to access the information on this website, we may have the information on file but have not scanned the certificate. Please call the Building Services Division at 239-389-5000 or the Floodplain Coordinator at 239-389-3926.

If the home was built before 1999 and you have never substantially improved or experienced substantial damage to the structure, you may need to contact the Collier County Building Department to obtain permit information and then check with their Records Department at 239-252-5730 to see if they have a copy. If they do not have a copy, you may have to hire a surveyor, or you can ask the prior owner for the elevation certificate if they have it. Also, most lending institutions require both a property survey and an elevation certificate.

Please read the Frequently Asked Questions. In the FAQs, you will find important information about downloading, viewing and saving the elevation certificates.
