The City of Marco Island is seeking volunteers to serve on the Marco Island Audit Committee and the Collier County Coastal Advisory Committee. The appointments to these committees will be made by members of the City Council at the April 19, 2021 City Council meeting.

Selection for membership on the City’s Audit Committee will be based upon the applicant’s knowledge, skills, experience, involvement in community affairs, leadership, and desire to serve the community. The committee meets quarterly at 9:00am in the Marco Island Community Meeting Room. There are five appointments available and applicants must be Marco Island residents.

Selection for membership on the Collier County Coastal Advisory Committee will be based upon the applicant’s familiarity with coastal processes, inlet dynamics, coastal management programs, or demonstrated interest in such programs, relevant education and experience, leadership, and involvement in community affairs. The committee is composed of three members from Marco Island, three members from unincorporated Collier County, and three members from the City of Naples. The committee meets at 1:00pm on the second Thursday of the month at the Collier County Government Center. There is one appointment available and applicants must be Marco Island residents.
