Local artist, Lynn Roberts is featuring her art at City Hall with the theme “Nature’s Way.” The art includes four sculptures made from driftwood as well as five series exhibiting fiber weaving, painting, wood sculpture, and jewelry. The five series are Beaches, Spirit Dreams, Driftwood, Birds and Butterflies, and Nature’s Way. There are forty pieces that will be on display in City Hall from December 5 through the end of February 2026. There will be an open house for the public to meet Lynn Roberts on December 17th from 4:00-5:00pm. The artwork is for sale, and all proceeds go to the artist.
After retiring as a Registered Nurse, Lynn Roberts found a new purpose through the art of weaving. “Nature’s vivid colors and textures inspire me significantly in my designs,” she said. Lynn gravitates towards creating landscapes, birds, animals, and flowers. Her burrowing owl and sea turtle designs will be a hit on Marco Island. Lynn uses things found in nature including driftwood, feathers, sticks, acorns, pebbles, and sea glass as these natural items integrate with her design and focus. She also makes custom pieces on request.
Mark your calendars for December 17th at 4:00pm to meet this talented artist.
