The South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) has issued a regional Water Shortage Warning that includes Collier County. This advisory is intended to raise awareness of dry conditions and encourage voluntary water conservation. The SFWMD and the City of Marco Island are encouraging residents, visitors, and businesses to conserve water and limit irrigation. Landscape irrigation should comply with the days and times established in the attached irrigation schedule. Residents should check irrigation timers and rain sensors to avoid over watering of lawns. These are voluntary conservation efforts recommended by the City to avoid future mandatory restrictions.
