(July 28, 2026) The City of Marco Island regularly displays a rotating exhibit of local artists’ and photographers’ in City Hall located at 50 Bald Eagle Drive. To submit artwork to the City, art in-take will take place on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 between 9:30am – 11:00am at City Hall. The City will provide a contract for the artist to sign.
There is no limit on the number of pieces and no cost to the artist. In recognition of America’s 250th birthday, the art theme will be “Red, White and Bold.”
Requirements for Artwork:
1. Artwork must be original.
2. Artwork must be of an appropriate size and weight for hanging on walls and must be ready to hang.
3. Artwork must be appropriate imagery or style for public space. Examples of non-appropriate imagery include artwork with religious content, nudity, or depicting violence.
4. Artwork should have a broad appeal to people of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures.
5. Artwork must not require extraordinary handling; fragile pieces should not be displayed.
6. Artwork will be transported to and from City Hall by the artist.
7. Sale of art will not be transacted by the City; however, artists may display their contact/website information, and display prices for the art.
