As election season continues, the City of Marco Island would like to remind residents, candidates and campaign supporters about where campaign signs may be placed.
🏠 Residential Districts
• Signs are permitted in residential swales from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Signs may be placed on private property at any time.
🏢 Commercial Districts
• Signs are NOT permitted in swales.
• Signs may be placed on private property with a setback of at least 10 feet from the pavement or 5 feet from the sidewalk.
• There are no time restrictions for signs otherwise permitted on private property.
🏛️ Public Property
• Campaign signs are NOT permitted on City-owned public property, including parks, City Hall and other City facilities.

The Marco Island Fire Rescue Foundation will proudly unveil the Marco Island 9/11 Memorial on Friday, September 11, 2026, marking the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks that forever changed our nation.
The unveiling ceremony will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Marco Island Fire Station, 1280 San Marco Road, Marco Island. The community is invited to gather for this meaningful occasion of remembrance, reflection, and gratitude.
Following the memorial unveiling, a Blue Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at San Marco Catholic Church. The Blue Mass will offer an additional opportunity for the community to come together in prayer and remembrance and to honor first responders and all those who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving others. The entire community is invited to attend.
