Collier County Caxambas Pass Dredging & Beach Re-nourishment Project

Work Area: The dredging will occur in Caxambas Pass and the sand will be placed on the beach between Cape Marco and the Marbelle Club (Marker R146 – 840 S. Collier Blvd).  

 

Anticipated start date & Work schedule: Work will commence in early January 2020 and be ongoing for approximately 2 months until completed.

 

Purpose of Project: To re-nourish the beach at the south end of Marco Beach.

 

Scope of work: Dredge approximately 80,000 cubic yards of sand from Caxambas Pass, pump the sand to the beach, screen the sand to remove any she shells or stones larger than ¾”, and place the sand on the beach and regrade. Work will begin at the south end of Marco Beach at Cape Marco and work north to the Marbelle Club. Any shells larger than ¾” will be trucked to one of the parking lots at Tigertail Beach.
