Parks & Recreation Committee

Regularly scheduled meetings begin at 3:30 p.m. (changed from 3:00 p.m. starting March 2019) in the Fay & Bedford Biles Community Room, 51 Bald Eagle Drive, Marco Island, Florida

The purpose of the Committee is to advise the City Manager on all matters pertaining to Parks and Recreation on Marco Island. Responsibilities include: soliciting and evaluating public input on Parks and Recreation needs; review of facilities, their usage, and their adequacy in the short and long-term; review existing programs and contractual services; review and make recommendations regarding the financing of Parks and Recreation programs; encourage coordination of programs among other organizations providing recreational opportunities; and foster programs for teens, youth, and children appropriate to the specific needs of Marco Island.
