Public Gardens and Attractions

Image of Calusa Park

The city’s main public garden is Calusa Park, a one-half mile lineal park located on Marco Island on Winterberry Drive. The land was deeded to the residents of Marco Island by the Mackle Brothers as a Green Belt. A butterfly garden, exotic and native trees and a food forest, which includes citrus and tamarind trees, show residents what mature trees look like and provide inspiration for their own gardens.
