Press Release_Suspect Arrested For Large Amounts of Drugs and Weapons

On April 17, 2022, at approximately 1757 hours, Marco Island Police officers responded to Robin Court, Marco Island on a report of a distraught woman who ran down the street screaming that someone had broken into her house, and he was in the pool. Police arrived and checked the home for intruder(s), none were located, and no signs of forced entry were noted.

During the home check, several different suspected narcotics were observed in plain view along with a shotgun. The resident, Marisol Perez, age 39 of 869 Robin Court, Marco Island appeared to be under the influence of narcotics and was displaying signs of excited delirium. Perez was transported by EMS to the hospital for evaluation.

MIPD obtained search warrants for the residence which resulted in the seizure of large amounts of suspected marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, and prescription drugs and 15 weapons of various types were seized.

Marisol Perez was cleared from the hospital and transported to the Naples Jail Center. Perez is currently charged with possession of narcotics. This investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
