Instructions (by list) for how to schedule and RVI inspection and upload  RVI video files in the Citizen Self Service portal

    1. Download your video file to a computer and compress it to .ZIP format. (see instruction file link above.)
    2. Log In and click Dashboard, to open your active permit with interactive features.
    3. Click on the Inspection button. Please don't schedule from the summary page.
    4. Schedule the inspection.

  • Contact permitting if the inspection is not available.
  • Send email to permitdesk@cityofmarcoisland.com with "PROBLEM SCHEDULING INSPECTION" in the subject line and details in the body of the message.
  • We will be on the lookout for this specific subject line.

    5. After scheduling the inspection, click the word "Back" at the top of the page.
    6. Open the inspection you just scheduled, and click the Attachments button.

  • Note: If there is no Attachment card available, click "Refresh" in the menu of your browser.
  • If it doesn't become available, send an email to permitdesk@cityofmarcoisland.com with "NEED INSPECTION ATTACHMENT UPLOADS TURNED ON" and details in the body of the message.
  • We will be on the lookout for this specific subject line.

    7. Click the Attachment card, upload file, and remember to click Submit.

  • Note the Success message that you will get: "Upload Successful! After these attachments have been approved, they will be available in the attachments section."
  • This is not accurate for RVI inspections.
  • Due to the excessive file size for video files, we will store your video inspection outside of the system, and you will not be able to view it in the portal.
  • It will still be available via Public Records Request.

    8. Wait for your emailed inspection status notice or check back in the portal for the result.
